On Thursday August 15th the club held a fundraising trivia night in Ri Ra Irish Pub in Midtown to support the ladies camogie team who are travelling to the National Championships in Cleveland over Labor Day Weekend. Quizmaster Rob Kiely did a great job over six round of ten questions with special mention for his creative “Candy Bar Round”.
The winning team above, “The Witherspoons”, won with a score of 55 and collected a prize of double their money back. Led by trivia master extraordinaire Charles Witherspoon this team also included Kieran Cronin, Neil Carton and Paul Bradley. The “BBC Highlanders” led by Brian Boland and Alan Corr scored 39 points to finish dead last but were presented with a bottle of Bushmills to make up for their embarrassment!
