new players

Atlanta GAA is a welcoming community and if you want to try out our sports and join our community, you will always be welcome. Gaelic games are great sports to get involved in as an adult. The multi skilled nature of the sports make them ideal for players with different athletic backgrounds such as soccer, rugby, tracking, etc. If your athletic background is limited or you don’t have one, this is an excellent environment to improve your fitness and meet friendly people.

The club usually provides equipment for the first practice sessions. These consist of hurl (stick), helmet and sliotar (ball) for hurling and camogie. For football, balls and field equipment. Players are encouraged to wear boots and can bring mouth and shin guards if preferred, although not mandatory.

New players must also sign a liability form before coming to practice and must register with the USGAA and Atlanta GAA to join the club (see registration and fees below) and visit our registration page here.
